Hi! I’m Doménica

For as long as I can remember, I've been obsessed with exploring the world and learning from other cultures. Today, I write about travel as a force of good—one that inspires others to go around intentionally, forge deeper connections, and care for our planet.
My inability to stay still and my love for storytelling have led me to make travel my profession. Over the past decade, I’ve worked at and contributed to publications such as Travel+Leisure México, Marriott Bonvoy Traveler, and Aire and Accent (Aeroméxico’s in-flight magazines).
Throughout my personal and professional travels, I’ve learned to slow down and deeply connect with each destination, embracing its cultures, caring for nature, and leaving something positive behind—even if it’s just one story that might inspire others to do the same.
For me, traveling is the ultimate expression of freedom. Yet, over the years, I’ve understood that true freedom comes not from checking destinations off a list but from allowing the journey to challenge you and completely overturn everything you once took for granted.

A few facts about me
✺ I’m from México City and live in Barcelona, where I see the Mediterranean every weekend.
✺ I’m never happier than by the sea or in the mountains.
✺ I enjoy putting together itineraries as much as breaking my plans with new cravings or recommendations from locals on the spot.
✺ My favorite trips are road trips, and I gravitate toward open, empty spaces and remote destinations.
✺ I love eating and trying new flavors when traveling (and I have a special weakness for spicy food).
✺ I’m an Open Water and Nitrox certified diver, and my dream is to dive between the tectonic plates of Iceland.
